Silent Mode direct recording with ZMACS and PS-100

Hello,

I have three Amps and two cabs connected to the ZMACS.
My PS-100 is in the normal attenuator loop.
The balanced line out of the PS-100 is connected to my recording interface.

As there is always a quiet sound out of the speaker even with the volume of the powerstation turned all the way down (see this post: https://forum.fryette.com/t/ps-2a-get-sound-from-speaker-even-with-volume-turned-all-the-way-down/287 ) I want to ask if it is save to unplug the speaker cable from the powerstation and use the “silent mode” for direct recording as described in the PS owners manual?

Hi Jen,

Yes you can do that, if you don’t need sound anyway then this seems like the best option.
