ZMACS routing question for real cab + silent recording

Hi there. My purpose: Using ZMACS to switch between multiple heads, multiple cabs, and a load box + IR loader (Two Notes OPUS in my case), as well as involving an attenuator in ZMACS’s Attenuator Loop. I want to switch between real cabs and IR without rewiring any device.

Currently I have one PS-2A, one OPUS, and will buy a ZMACS. The diagram below shows my idea:

(1) If this routing is correct, do I have to buy another attenuator or load box, as one PS-2A can’t be used in this routing for both functions simultaneously?

(2) If this routing has something wrong, please correct me.

Thanks!

  • PS: I’ve found another post mentioning that PS-2A in Attenuator Loop can also be used as a load box if the volume turned to 0:

I guess this utility involves PS-2A’s Line Out for connecting to IR loader devices. In my case I don’t really want to do that because according to my tests, I don’t like the sound result out of this Line Out port.

This requires a speaker or a reactive load to be connected to it when accepting a speaker-level signal. So as you have drawn it, it looks fine to me. When you select the cab out with the OPUS you will get audio into the audio interface. But you do need a second load box.
