hey y’all,
my zmacs will arrive tomorrow - so one question upfront: will the zmacs store the last AMP/CAB impedance settings when turning the unit on/off?
best regards and thanks for an answer,
frank

There is one way to find out… @Julian help!
oh yes, of cause - that helps alot - thx.
Julian is off sick at the moment. I’ll check with him.
No it will default to Amp 1, Cab 1, 8 ohms and 8 ohms.
thanks sam but this is a bummer. means you have (when not using a midi-preset) to configure all amps and cabs from zero? thanks for your support guys, frank
Always in Omni mode and lack of memory. A little to limited to be practical. Being able to pick a MIDI channel and remember the presets would be useful.
Thanks for the feedback. I’ll make sure Steve and Julian make a note of the feature request.
hey y‘all, sam was totally right - 8ohm/8ohm and all amp settings gone. at least the last settings should be stored when turning the unit off. so i’m a friend of “ease of use and error” in the studio. so how can i store my impedance amp and cab settings in the zmacs? rgds, frank
Hi everyone
it seams you are alredy talking about a problem I encouterd just now.
I received my ZMACS not long ago, and didn’t use it much yet.
I turned it on today after a week or two, and wanted to go straight into playing, but I realized that the settings (impedance for each amp and having loop turned on) were not stored from the time I set it up.
Is this normal?
Is there a way I can set up the impedance and have it set so it wil come back to my settings after I disconnect from power?
I did mount the ZMACS vertically (to save space) could this be an issue?
Thanks
Yes. This whole issue forced me to get a Morningstar MIDI controller and that does work as advertised. I have 16 settings to support 4 amps/4 cab combinations. Took me a few hours to figure out how to program it via the GUI but since then no issues.
Thank you!
I also set up MIDI controler (just need 4 combinations) over the weekend and it works great.
I’m sorry to hear the zmacs will not remember last settings used on its own but it is what it is.
P.S.: MIDI is a pain to setup for someone like me with almost zero midi knowladge
Yes. I figured it all out after a few hours (been 20 years since I messed with MIDI) and it is nice to be able to switch everything from the controller on my table vs. reaching for the ZMACs.
