Hi Fryette Team,
Apologies if this has been answered somewhere before already (I couldn’t find a solution to this specific issue). I’m using a PS-2A with my Amplified Nation Wonderland Overdrive V2, running into a 16-ohm cab with the impedance set correctly (16 ohms in and out). The speaker cables are connected properly, and the unit is not in bypass mode.
The issue I’m encountering is that, even with the Volume knob on the PS-2A turned fully counter-clockwise, I’m still getting a noticeable amount of signal through the cab. The Volume knob does affect the overall level and increases as expected when turned up, but it doesn’t bring the output all the way down to silence like I’ve experienced in the past with other PS-2 units.
The Line Out Level is set to 0, and there’s no gear in the loop. I’ve tested with my amp’s master volume lowered as well, but there’s still more signal than I’d expect at minimum PS-2A volume.
Is this normal behavior for the PS-2A, or could this indicate a fault with the volume attenuation circuit? I’m only using it as a volume attenuator in the room, essentially just as a “master volume” once I dial in the amp to it’s sweet spot (which is way too loud for my space on its own). I tested the amp with my other PS-2 unit, and it works correctly (silence from the cab with Volume at zero on the PS-2). It only seems to be occurring on the PS-2A.
Thanks in advance for your help!
