I see in the Zmacs manual that you can hook a KHE ACS 8x4 to the Zmacs for the impedance matching feature with the Power Station 100. Does this mean that all of the amps that are in the KHE unit will have shared effects like the ones that are on the Zmacs when using the power station 100?
That’s right. Any selected amp in the ZMACS or in the KHE.
The catch (which is not much of a catch) is that you’ll need to connect all amps and cabs that you want to select to the KHE. And you’ll want to use MIDI so that you can set the various impedances of the selected amps and cabs, and then assign which amps you want running through the PS-100 and associated effects.

Thanks for the quick reply. Can you elaborate just a tad more on the all amps must be connected aspect? Does that mean every slot on the KHE needs to have an amp on it or it won’t have this fx feature on other connected amps? I will have the power station running on every amp in a perfect world, utilizing the effects on the Power Station Loop.
Simply put, the KHE will be doing the amp and cab selection. All the ZMACS will be doing is matching the impedance of your amps and cabs, and processing those choices through the PS-100 for attenuation and effects.
Honestly, If you don’t have more than four amps, this is a bit of a moot exercise.
Another way to approach using both switchers together is to switch the heads from the KHE and the cabs from the ZMACS.

So I can’t use any heads or cabs in the Zmacs if I’m utilizing amps and cabs in the KHE? I have 12 heads and 15 Cabs total. I was hoping I would be able to go through the 12 heads and eight cabs by utilizing both units together. I realize you can’t use anything more than one cab and one head at a time.
The ZMACs is an awesome unit but my issue became that I am now set up with more than 4 cabs so I ended up going with the Kahayan 16x8 amp/speaker selector along with the Weber impedance selector device for some cabs (forgot the name). I set all my amps up at 8 ohms and use this device on cabs that are mismatched. I probably could buy a second ZMACs units and daisy chain them to support > 4 cabs but that added another unit and additional cost. The work Fryette did on the ZMACs is amazing and I assume the market to support more than 4 heads and cabs might be small so I assume a larger unit is probably low on the R&D priority list, which I can certainly understand.
Things do get pretty sticky when you try to go both directions in a daisly chained rig.
We have other solutions in the works, but don’t expect to see anything until mid to late 26.
