Muffled sound and volume drop from almost new PS-2?

I have a PS-2 I bought new from a dealer last June (2025). I use it to bring down the volume of a Two-Rock TS-1. For the last couple of weeks, I’ve first noticed a volume drop but it seemed like a restart of the unit fixed it; then I noticed a drop in the highs and everything sounded muffled. Now I notice an even more pronounced drop in volume at the same settings I’ve been using since I got it. The amp works great without the PS-2.
Am I already running into issues with the (preamp) tubes? I use this unit maybe 2-3 times a week for an hour or two each, only at home. Should I be having these issues, or is there something else going on? TIA!

Looks like it’s similar to this issue Huge sudden volume drop with PS2A

Welcome to the forum!

It’s usually helpful to know the full rig setup so we can get an accurate read on potential issues.
EX: Guitar > TS-1 >PS-2A Amp In (anything in the PS FX loop?) > (brand/type) speaker cab.

Thanks,

Dave

Hi David, the signal chain normally is:
Guitar > Pedal board (drives) > TS1 > PS-2A > Pedal Board (Reverb, Delay) > PS-2A > Two 2x12 cab
However, I’m having the same issues without anything in the PS-2A FX Loop and without the pedal board in the chain.
