I love the ZMACS it has completely changed my recording and playing experience for the better. Seamless and transparent switching is wonderful and the quality of the product is unmatched. I also use and love my PS-100 I have tried multiple different attenuators and it sounds the best the added tonal features and the effects loop has allowed me to integrate my elaborate multi-amp rig. The effects loop on the PS100 is awesome, but it doesn’t react the way that my amps do to my signal chain. What I think would be a great addition to the ZMACS would be a MIDI CONTROLLED EFFCTS LOOP SWITCHER that can be added to the ZMACS so that I can use the individual effects loops of all my amps including the PS100. I use 2 ZMACS and a PS100 I wont go into all the amps I use but the main 4 are a 5150IIIS 50 watt, SLO30, BE100, and a Deluxe Reverb I think it would be useful to be able to switch my effects loop chain to the individual amps that have an effects loop and use the effects loop of the PS100 for amps that don’t have an effects loop. A midi controlled effects loop switcher that could be plug into the midi out of the ZMACS would be awesome. I think a 2x8 switcher would be cool. Having an option to switch between 2 separate effects loop chains and having the option to send either one of those loops to a possibility of 8 different amps with the click of a switch would be awesome. Does anyone else agree? If so lets convince Steven Fryette to make it possible.
Hey Nocturnus, and welcome to the forum!
You’ve set up quite a challenge, so let’s see how you do and how many people you can get on board.
I probably don’t have to mention that we’ve evaluated this idea early on, nor spell out the reasons you don’t see this feature on the ZMACS. I’ll wait to see if and how a debate plays out.
Let’s see if anyone can make a convincing case!
Good luck!
