Based on what I see on the manual, I’m almost positive the answer to this is no… but can anyone confirm if it would be possible to use two ZMACS units to route 8 amps into 8 different cabs spread across the 2 units?
Hello, You are correct that he answer is no, but you can get somewhat close. See the diagram below. Cheers! Gil
Hi GIl, thanks! I did see this in the manual.
I’ve been reading in the forum other threads as well.
Assuming the above diagram, let’s call them ZMACS A (top unit) and ZMACS B (bottom unit).
All amps connected to both ZMACS A and ZMACS B can go to the cabs and the attenuator on ZMACS B. Correct?
If I chose to connect cabs to ZMACS A, only the amps connected to ZMACS A can go those the cabs connected to ZMACS A. The amps on ZMACS B can’t go to the cabs in ZMACS A. Correct?
Finally, I’m thinking of a third option here where I build upon the diagram you posted. Can I take a “to speaker cab” output from ZMACS B and connect it to a “from amp output” on ZMACS A and have 6 amps available across 6 cabs and 2 attenuators? (3 amps and cabs on ZMACS A and 3 amps and cabs on ZMACS B)? Or will this make some crazy ground loops?
