How to run the Zmacs with a Delisle 12x12 amp switcher and run the PS-100 in between them!

I got my Zmacs this week and at first I was only able to take advantage of the impedance selector and the Bypass Overide features. My main goal was to run the Zmacs as an extension to the Delisle amp switcher where I’m running 12 amps and 10 cabs currently. I have a 13th amp to add to the Zmacs and wanted to be able to run it into the Delisle switcher to take advantage of the cabs already connected to the Delisle. Long story short I followed example #5 from the manual and ran the cab in and amp out in the Zmacs going into the attenuator loop of the Delisle. My PS-100 runs into the switchable loop of the Zmacs. To my surprise adding an amp into the Zmacs I could run it through the cabs in the Delisle. My PS-100 attenuates amps in both the Delisle and the Zmacs. And the crazy thing is the amp on the Zmacs is even quiter than all the ones in the other amp switcher. Only issue I found is I had to run the ground lift pushed in. I wanted to pass on this info for anyone else wanting to do this kind of mixed rig. I’m also running the guitar in from my pedal board into the Zmacs front input. Then running a cable from the Link on the back of the Zmacs into the front input of my Delisle amp switcher.

Awesome setup dude!!! Have you noticed any benefit from the bypass override feature? I haven’t done any tests with it yet.

Hey Sam, it does change the sound a little bit. I have not yet had the chance to really crank it and see if I like that better. But it does make a difference for us tone and sound nerds. I can say it sounds a bit more crisp if that makes sense.

I’ve been too tied up to remember to test that. I’ll do some examples.

That would be rad to hear your opinion. It’s just another cool feature we have at our disposal.

Any good suggestions for a good budget midi controller for the Zmacs? I would like to store some cab presets just so I don’t have to reset everything every time. Thanks

I was really impressed with the Paint Audio MIDI floorboard. I don’t need one but I needed it to help get the MIDI functioning correctly and orient myself to its process. But it was intuitive and would be my preferred scenario if I wasn’t using the stream deck.

Thanks Sam for the suggestion. Any particular model in particular or do you think any of their midi foot controllers should work fine? I was thinking maybe the Paint Audio captain nano.

This was the one I used and it was flawless

Thanks Sam, I’ll look into that one.
