I am currently trying to connect my new ZMAC with Mesa Boogie JP2c, Friedman BE 100 and Engle Savage 120 with my PS 100 and Synergy Syn 2. Can this be done, if so, how?
Hi @guitarguy107 and welcome to the forum!
For the Boogie, Friedmann, Engle and PS-100 just connect as shown in the ZMACS user manual,
- Guitar connects to ZMACS input (either front panel or rear)
- ZMACS TO AMP INPUT goes to your three amps; assign them the numbers you want.
- ZMACS FROM AMP OUTPUT connects your speaker-level output from the back of your amps
- ZMACS TO SPEAKER CAB runs to your cabs.
- PS-100 connects to the ZMACS attenuator loop as shown.
The Syn 2 is a preamp, but take a look at page 8 of the Syn 2 user manual it shows you how to connect this to one of your amps using the ‘add a channel’ feature. That is probably the easiest way to integrate the preamp.
I am not using a speaker cab. Just IR.
OK I going to make a few guesses…
You want to use the ZMACS to switch between different heads and route them into the power station as a load, and then you take the XLR out from the PS-100 and use that in a DAW. No cabs.
OK so follow the signal path above:
- Remove ZMACS “TO SPEAKER CAB” cables.
- Remove PS-100 “SPKR OUT” cable
Try that an report back, we will work on Syn-2 later.
