ZMACS load protection?

Hey all,

I hope support can clarify: Does the ZMACS have internal load protection for all amps connected and turned on, even if there are no cabs or load boxes/attenuators connected?

OR does there need to be a cab connected to safely run the amps and not blow transformers?

Just want to make sure its all idiot proof and not put any of my old amps at risk.

Hey David,

Amp outputs are fully protected.

See manual page 4 last paragraph.

Hi there, just want to extend this question a bit - does ZMACS offer load protection when it’s not powered? I want to confirm if it’s safe to power on my amps first, then the ZMACS. Thanks.

Yes. When the ZMACS Is powered off, the relays close by default, thus protecting the amp.
