ZMAC splitter to PL-IR and cabinet

Hello,

When using a PL-IR in one of the ZMAC’s cabinet outputs, could I instead run a splitter out of the ZMAC to the PL-IR (8 ohm setting) and an 8 ohm cabinet (so I can select a 4th cab when not using the PL-IR)? If so, on the ZMAC, which cabinet impedance should be selected?

If it’s a parallel split, it would be 4 Ohms.

Thanks for confirming the impedance selection.

There’s no reason why I shouldn’t be splitting the ZMAC cabinet output with a cab and PL-IR, correct?

Hi Tonecraft,

It’s seen as a speaker so it’ll be perfectly fine. Just make sure your split is wired properly and is electrically sound and you are good to go.
