Using a Power Station as a Load Box for Proxy captures

I want to replace my Seymour Duncan Powerstage 700 with a tube power amp like the PS-100 or PS-2A. But im hoping that either of the Fryette units can double as a load box so I can capture my Carvin Legacy head into my Helix Stadium XL.

Hoping someone here can clarify is this is doable.

I think either the PS-100 or PS-2A is a good fit for this.

  • You can use it as a tube power amp only. Feed a line-level signal into the LINE IN and connect a cab to SPKR OUT

  • You can also use it like a load-box: Connect you amp’s output to AMP IN. Now you get a line-level version of this signal on LINE OUT
