Synergy Preamps vs Fractal FM9/Axe FX III with LXii Poweramp

I recently just came across the Synergy Pre-amps and the look pretty interesting. I am looking for anyone with experience that has used or uses Fractals and has thoughts on moving to the Synergy.

I am not worried about effects, to be honest, I am not a huge fan of the Fractal Effects. I have a large pedal locker.

I am currently only using a couple of Amp models in the Fractal for our set. A Recto and the JCM800 going into the Fryette LXii and a 4x12 cab. Feel and responsiveness is huge for me and of course sound. I was thinking about getting the DRect and the BE-DLX preamps.

Did the Synergy Pre-amps move you away from Fractal or is the Power amp modeling keeping you with the Fractal gear?

I think it depends on your application but you mentioned amp and cab. The Fractal stuff is solid for sure. Overall, I like my experience using the Synergy modules more in terms of pure amp sound. I think a big selling point of the Fractal stuff is that it is everything in one and very affordable for what you get. If you just want great tube amp tone and want flexibility, that’s the selling point of the Synergy stuff. I’ve owned a lot of the Fractal products over the years and do not own them anymore.

I have the BE-DLX along with six other modules and it is one of my favorites.
