Switching Speaker Impedance Properly

tl;dr: Do I need to put the PS-100 into stand by, or is it safe for the PS-100 to switch the impedance while in operate mode?

Hello - I’ve been playing through my PS-100 for a week or so now, and I’m blown away by how great it is. I have a couple of cabinets that I play through some of which are 8 Ohm, some are 16 Ohm. I have my PS-100 cabled into my amp switcher (n-audio 8x7) in the attenuator loop so that I can select my various cabs on the fly. When I want to switch to a cab with a different impedance, I’ve been putting the PS-100 into stand by, flipping the speaker switch to 8 or 16, and then putting it into operate mode.

Thanks much!
Andrew

Welcome to the forum!

Yes, it is safe to do that as long as you are not blasting throught it while switching.
