Silent Mode with Speaker Connected

Hey Fryette Team,

Recently plugged in a real speaker cabinet to the PS-100 to get an attenuated sound + direct to my interface/DAW and noticed that even with the power off, the cabinet is still getting sound (un-attenuated). Is this right? Reading the manual, the Silent Mode mentions the Speaker Out is not active. Also, I do note that while running a 50 or 100 Watt amp, I should run with the power on. Can you help me understand this? TY

Hi Jeff,

In Bypass mode, you will get direct sound to the speaker. Same as in silent mode with the power off and a speaker connected. To make Silent Mode silent, you need to disconnect the PS-100 Speaker Out.

See manual Page 9 regarding Silent Mode.
