Hi all - new Fryette customer here. My PS-100 arrived yesterday and has absolutely amazed me. The attenuation is exactly as the reviews have said. With that, I want to make sure that I’m using the unit safely, and that dovetails into my question. I’m a Mesa fan with a Mark VII and Badlander 100 and both amps have the ability to change the wattage on the fly. Is it safe to do so while the PS-100 is in use?
I appreciate any responses!
Welcome to the forum!
Yes, it’s safe.
The multi-watt feature doesn’t actually cause major changes in the output stage, So, there are no big switching transients that you need to worry about.

Thank you Dave - one more bonus question if you would be so kind. I was surprised to notice that there were no operating instructions for turning on/off the unit alongside an amp.
What’s the safest startup/shutdown procedure?
That’s because there is no need to be concerned with the power up/down order.
I usually put the power station into operate mode before turning on the amps standby switch. That’s just because I don’t want to accidentally blast the amp.
Just treat the PS-100 like a normal tube amp: Power on, wait a few minutes, switch to operate.
