Running two ZMACS in STEREO?

I tour a stereo amp rig. I currently tour 4 heads (two primary, two backups) and two cabs in a Stereo LR rig. I am looking to use two ZMACS in stereo (two amps and one cab in one) so that if a primary amp goes down, I can use MIDI via my RJM GT22 to hit a button to switch to the backup amp for that side.

My main question for support is: Are there any programmability issues I might run into with running two ZMACS in this way? Not sure if they both share the same MIDI commands so if I tell one to switch to amp 2, it might tell the other to do the same, etc. I am newly jumping into a full midi controled rig, so still learning the ins and outs.

Thanks!
David

Hi David,

There shouldn’t be any issues. The ZMACS works off PC messages, so you’d be making a preset for each of the presets on the Mastermind GT. I would setup a backup bank for your rig. Just copy over your presets from one bank to another and set both ZMACS for the back up amps and cabs for each one of the back up presets.

I hope that helps.

Thank You,

Terry
