I recently sold my Fryette Deliverance One Twenty II+ (reluctantly) and it was unfortunately damaged in shipping. I am currently trying to work a Reverb Safe Shipping claim.
Is Fryette able to receive the amp, repair the damages, and ship it back? Ideally I’d like to get a quote so I can provide the estimated cost to Reverb to get the cost covered (they also adjust cost if the repair ends up being more, usually).
I think it depends very much on the level of damage. The shop would need to see it to estimate that. I know they are very busy too, things like of thing needs special attention. Could you post some photos? I can flag this and aim to get a reply from the shop.
Okay great, thanks for the update. I hope you’re feeling better!
Update from my end: Reverb safe shipping said they’d cover the cost of any repairs or replacement parts. We’re waiting to hear back from the buyer if they’re going to keep the amp or return it to me before the repairs are done.
The buyer is opting to return the amp to me without getting repairs beforehand. In this case, I’d ideally like to ship the amp to you all for repairs and replacement parts, if that’s a viable option.
Ideally, yes if I can send it to you all and then it be repaired, that would be great. You all would be the best for it so if that’s an option, I would greatly appreciate it!
And thank you for the condolences, this is my first ever reverb return on something I’ve sold
Bad news is that it’s going to be a replacement headshell. The good news: the rest will be just verifying that everything works OK and the tubes are in good condition. Likelihood of internal damage is probably low but not zero.
I expected that to be the case with the headshell at least. I’m not sure exactly with the electronics, but I don’t remember the amp when I had it making the noises that the buyer demonstrated in his videos.
Whatever needs done is completely fine. Reverb will pay for it anyway so I’d rather everything that needs addressed is addressed and not worry about what it’ll cost.
