I am looking at two GPDI/IR units and a 2502 for a rack mounted tour rig wanting to run dual mono on the power amp and have each guitarist control their Gpdi/ir and effects loop independently. Is this possible? What might I be missing? If so it is a huge savings on real amp tour set up and modular system ease of use. I want to sendIR to IEM & FOH. Line out to power amp to 412 speaker cabs for stage volume redundancy. IEM will be in same rack. This would allow full band in one 12u rolling rack.
Also, is there a way to midi control the unit through trs?

What you’re suggesting is possible, I think.
There is currently no available rack kit for the GPDI, but we’ve mounted them on a rack tray in our demo room with good results.
The GPDI does not have MIDI control but some devices, such as the Voodoo Lab Control Switcher or the Boss ES-5 will convert MIDI commands to TRS switch functions to you can switch to High Gain mode remotely.
