Pulling two tubes from 120 II+ to drop to 60W

I’m considering pulling two 6550s from my 120 II+ to drop the output to 60W as an experiment. I realize this will only be a 3db drop in max volume. I’m more interested in earlier power amp saturation and saving a pair of 6550s as a backup.

I realize I’ll need to halve the ohms on the amp when plugging into a cabinet and I plan to rebias the amp to about 60% dissipation. Is there anything else I need to be aware of before proceeding? Have you done this before and found the juice not worth the squeeze? Let me know.

Yeah, I would go for an attenuator so the amp is sagging and operating with the big power feel, but use the attenuator to make it more manageable.
