I plan on using my PS2A as a power amp effect by taking GPDI/IR FX send to PS2A line in looping the PS2A speaker back into Amp in, then taking the PS2A line out into the GPDI/IR FX return, then piping the IR into the DAW and blasting it out my reference monitors … am I mad?
I saw that reply before it disappeared ….
Yeah, it was incorrect - so, I removed it. I should let someone else respond.
I’m an expert level antisocial media guy, I should learn to delete. I think that configuration will let me have a real 6L6 power amp pick through the IRs and hear them clearly. But I would like to have folks shoot holes in the idea if I missed the boat.
Yes, stark raving mad.
There is no need to embark on this adventure because we already did it for you.
The GPDI has it’s own power amp feeding a load that drives the IR out. So you can skip the added PS-2 Self-Attenuation method.
We now return you to your own personal padded room.

Well it don’t sound like a real 6L6 power amp … sounds pretty good, but not Fendery enough, I hope it has enough head room to let me hear the IR without the 1W amp shading it.
Insert smiley face here, I been playing this little amp a lot lately, some direct, some into a Fender 1994-ish GE-112, I used this little cab with my mesa mark-IVb for years, seems like a good match for the 6L6 amp of the PS2A
Can I hook the speaker up while I’m self attenuated if all impedances are matched?
