PS100 volume on zero still allows sound through

Trying to find out if this is normal or not… but when I have my amp speaker routed into the PS100, and I set the volume to zero, I still get some some from the amp coming through to the cabinet. Is this normal?

If so, then how should I setup for silent recording. I see in the manual that they have the amp coming in with no speaker connected… will I need to disconnect the speaker every time I want to do silent recording?

Thanks!

Hi @brian5150 welcome to the community!

Yes, this is normal. There is a little bit of signal bleed because there is a lot of magnetic energy in a small package. When I had a PS-100 the volume level was like a headphone placed somewhere in the room. It was still usable for me. But yes, disconnecting the speaker would be fine provided the volume of the PS-100 off.

Thanks Dan. I am really loving the PS100. Multi-purpose tool. Another question: is it possible to activate the effects loop without the pedal?
