When I plug in effects in the effects loop and switch on operate, I get a non stop loud squeel. If I unplug one (send or return cable) the squeel changes frequency, when I unplug both it stops. Did work fine for a few sessions but now impossible to use the loop.

Welcome to the forum!
It sounds like you may have a wicked ground loop happening in your system. Have you tried the ground lift switch yet? If not, please do and let me know the outcome. There are a couple of documents in our manual page about ground loops. There is also a YouTube video as well. We can try to check if there is anything we can see if you upload some very clear pictures of the set up.
