Ps1 baro resistors have broken off

Hello! There was something lose inside my Ps1, i opened it and found that the cement cap on one baro 10w 5 ohm had fallen off. And also a bigger black resistor? Last one looks like something fryette have made, with heat shrink tube around, what is it?
Can I measure it to see if it is ok, and solder back on card? The Baro I need to replace.
Is this happening because of overheating?

Welcome to the forum, Espen!

Yes, you probably overheated the resistor with the broken top. It’s also possible that the resistor is still good and just the cement cracked.

The other decice is an inductor and it’s probably OK.

Please contact support@fryette.com to obtain replacement parts.

Thank you so much for the answer David! Can the inductor have broken off because of heat also?

Is there any way to test the inductor? Measure it? Values?

And I think I should replace the resistor. Can I use any similar 10w 5ohm, or should I get one from support?

An off the shelf 5 ohm 10W resistor is fine.

The inductor is probably OK, but you would measure approximately 1 ohm DC if it is normal. If it is shorted, you will see a fraction of an ohm..

You have an early unit that used hot glue to secure the inductor to the board. I would just reinstall it with RTV and try it.
