Hi there. I consider the PS1 probably the more valuable piece of gear in my arsenal (and I own quite a bunch of stuff), something that for all these years allowed me to play big amps flawlessly. It’s about 3-4 years I’m using IRs to replace mics, both in studio or live, with whatever amp attenuated by the PS1, sending a line out signal to an IR loader, then from there to FOH or to a DAW. Unfortunately the PS1 line out (and I guess its newer iteration too) does not carry any effected signal routed to its FX loop, and that’s quite an issue when playing live, where I’d like to get as simple as possible, using IRs just to avoid micing the amp. Therefore I’m wandering whether using a third party little device, like the Suhr ISO box, put between the PS1 speaker out and the cab, might ever harm it in some way. An effected signal sent to the IR loader (same as some newer devices do) would be my bread & butter. Any risk of damage doing so? Anyone has tried any similar solution?
