PS-2A Bypass function and cable routing

Hello,

If I’m connected as Example 1 of the PS-2A manual and I enable bypass, does that effectivey take the PS-2A out of the signal chain and allow me to play my head and cab directly AND without swapping any cables? That is, the amp out will simply pass-thru the PS-2A to the speaker cab until bypass is disengaged - is this correct? If so, is there any signal attenuation whatsoever by passing thru the PS-2A compared to physically rerouting the speaker cable directly from amp to cab? Thanks,

Hi Malteseman,

That is correct. In bypass, the PS-2A is completely bypassed and the amp is going direct to the cabinet. No need to remove any cables.

From the manual:
STANDBY/BYPASS – In Standby mode, this switch bypasses the Power Station, puts the internal tube power amplifier stage on standby and connects the load amplifier directly to the speaker cabinet.

Hope that helps!

Thank You,

Terry
