Hello!
I have a power station PS-2 that I bought from a friend several years ago. I’ve used it many times since then, always as an attenuator, and has never once given me issues. For the first time in 6 months I powered it up, and now I am getting no sound in Operate mode. In Bypass mode the full amp signal comes in fine. The unit turns on fine, fan runs, etc.
I checked all of the tubes with a multimeter and compared to their datasheets, and everything checks out. They all glow when the device is on as well. I checked the internal fuse and the main fuse and both are fine.
I checked the rest of the internals to see if there were any noticeable signs of damage, and the only thing I noticed was a cracked cement resistor on the circuit board behind the input jacks on the back. I suspect something overheated it and it blew, so I bought a replacement resistor and swapped… still no sound.
I thought for sure that would have fixed it, but nothing. I’ve tried all of the Troubleshooting stuff but no difference either, so I’m completely out of ideas. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!
