Ps-2 input connection

Hey guys, I recently bought a ps-2 in “excellent” condition off Reverb, which it appears to be, and it works great. But, I notice all the input jacks on the back panel are not very snug. Like a little tug and the cable would pop out. There’s not a very positive click when cables are inserted, and it’s that way on all of them. Is that how these are supposed to be? Thank you

Hi @Brentb87 and welcome to the forum!

Do you get any problems with audio connections using those jacks? Any breakup in the signal. It could be that the metal clips inside the jacks have lost a bit of spring. I believe the jacks on the PS-2 (and PS-100) are vertically mounted on the PCB, so I’m actually unsure how easy it would be to access the clips. It is worth a look and see. Or drop it off at a local tech, they will be able to help you with this, no problem.

Thank you for the reply, sir! No sir no audio or connection problems, just if for some reason the cable was stepped on or lightly tugged it would pop out

Ok to increase the force, bending the pins a little will be required. Do you know a local tech that can help you with this?
