PS-100 Placement

In the never ending pursuit of rearranging my gear and setup, I am planning to relocate my PS-100 and ZMACS units. I am curious if there are any issues to be aware of with where the PS-100 is located relative to other gear.

I am aware of (and have resolved) the noise issues from ground loops and pickups being to close. But are there issues with placing the Power Station in certain spots relative to amps, cabs, or other gear?

My plan is to put the PS-100 and ZMACS units next to each other on a bookshelf with amp heads both above and below the PS-100 and ZMACS units. They will also be level with certain speaker cabinets.

Checking to see if there is any rule of thumb or potential issues before taking everything apart and moving it all somehwere else.

Thanks!

Good question!

The PS-100 has a power transformer and an output transformer inside, toward the rear. These are susceptible to coupling with other magnetic components of too close. So bear that in mind. Really I think it’s just about trial and error. What you want to do sounds more than possible.

I had a feeling that would be the answer! Thank you very much. I will play around with positioning and see what works best. Happy there is not anything particular to avoid.
