PS-100 one of the 6550 tube is glowing so bright and very hot with a slight whistle. I just bought my unit last Januar 2025. Can I please get a replacement tube? Why is this happening?

I’m really sorry about this. It could be:

  • Re-biasing is needed or
  • Tube failure.

Let me get some advice from the shop as what’s the fastest way to get you up and running again…

Our suspicion is that it’s the tubes, we have a 90 day warranty on tubes but will sort this out for you. Can you please complete this online form, it gives all the information we need to begin this process. You will not get a notification email from the form, but in a few days @Gil should get in touch with you when replace tubes and fuses have shipped.

Hi Michael,

To send you the correct replacement tubes, remove the PS-100 top cover and take a picture of the internals from about 12 inches away. There should be a number written on the tubes. We need this value to send optimum replacement. Sorry for the back and forth. We are in the middle of updating this process.
