If I connect the Line out of the Ps 100 to my Power load IR line in ( as say the manual ) the attenation button of the PS does not do anything, no attenuation at all, is it normal ? do the attenuator works only for real speaker out ? and do the line level of the line out is the only way to control the output ?
Thanks
Hi Cox,
The line out is a direct line out from the reactive load, there isn’t anything to attenuate at the line out. The controls will not work if you are just going out of the line out.
I hope that helps.
Thank You,
Terry
Hi Cox,
I do have a question. Why are you running the PS-100 line out into the PL-IR line in like this? I’m just trying to get an idea of how you are set up and what you’re trying to do with the gear. Thank you for posting!
Thanks,
Terry
Hi Terry,
And you can see the Power Station Line out goes to Power load Line in. You can keep the option to have a real speaker at the same time and have the attenuator working.
Ok, now you gonna ask why to do this and not to connect my guitar amp direct to the Power Load as I Should do, the reason is very simple, the power load as all Load box as no input level so when you push your guitar amp the signal is clipping too soon ( red signal front panel Power load ), most of the time to get the right sound from your guitar amp you have to push it and there is nothing to regulate the incoming signal to the Power Load.
If I use the Power station before the Power load I can set my guitar amp as loud I want, no problem, and I set the line level to control the clipping in the Power load. I have not found any other solution to solve this clipping problem, if you think about another solution let me know !
Thank you

Hello Philippe,
I totally understand the set up now. I thought I may have missed something, that’s all.
Thank You,
