PS-100 FX loop + 4CM: Squeal when switching to gain channel

Hi,

I’m using a PS-100 connected to a Mesa Boogie Mark V 35W, and the attenuation function works fine. However, I’m experiencing an issue with the PS-100’s effects loop when running 4CM with my Fractal VP4.

When I connect the Fractal to the PS-100’s effects loop using 4CM and switch to the amp’s gain channel, I get a high-pitched squealing sound. If I connect the Fractal directly to the amp’s loop instead, everything works normally.

This isn’t just happening with the Mesa Boogie—I’ve tried this with a Marshall and other amps that have effects loops, and whenever I use 4CM through the PS-100’s loop and switch to the gain channel, the squeal appears.

Does anyone know why this is happening?
