In writing this, the UI just showed a similar question for the PS-2…but for clarity:
With the PS-100, is could 12 o’clock be considered unity gain for presence/depth knobs?
I am looking for the most neutral setting for these.
Best,
David

Hi David, welcome to the community!
As you know, they make a subtle difference in tone. I generally have them set somewhere in the middle of the range unless I want to bring out a specific aspect of the tone. Our general advice is to think of them as tonal tools and set in a way that sounds best to your ears for what you happen to be playing on that day. That said, there will be a combination that gives the most “flat” response; in fact, I did look into this once; however, I can’t remember the results! I guess I forgot because I did not find the dials in those positions particularly more special than any other position. Again, it came down to more of a feel thing and what I was playing—the guitar, the amp, and my mood.
Regards,
Dan
