I got a PS-1 where the main speaker out jack isn’t holding the speaker plug anymore. It’s very, very loose.
Is there a good way to tighten it up?
I have already dissasembled the PS-1 once to get to the in/out pcb in order to remove the low pass filter so I know I can get in there again if needed. I’m thinking I might need a new jack. I can order myself if so but would need a part number then. I’m in Sweden so sending it in isn’t really an option and ordering it myself might actually be cheaper than you guys sending it.
But as said, first I’d like to hear if there’s a clever way of tightening it up.
There is a capacitor labeled C301 below or right next to the Line Out jack on the rear panel board that can simply be snapped off the board. That will stop the filter from acting on any signal.
It has since been eliminated on the current PS-2A (with the added Line Level control) and the PS-100.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

I lifted the rear panel board up without desoldering any wiring and desoldered C301. It’s clearly marked on the pcb. The entire procedure isn’t that fun but totally doable and for a good cause IMO
