Pittbull Ultra-Lead II at NAMM 2026

I have a question regarding the tube blending technology. So, if this unit is capable of blending tubes…….will it also be capable of switching from 120w to 60w with a choice between the tube sets? Thanks!

Any chance we’ll get some news at at guitar summit this weekend?

Steve will be there. I think he has a slot giving a demo of the ULII. It might be playable too at the booth.

The product descriptions on the big retailer sites indicate that "The iconic Pittbull graphic EQ, bolstered by Presence and Depth controls, is now fully storable and recallable via the onboard LCD screen or a custom software interface, all with zero digital conversion in the audio signal path. "

When we last got news on the amp, Steve indicated that the EQ was digital. Has that changed? EQ is now digitally controlled analog EQ? Or it’s still digital and there’s some miscommunication on the copy?

I think they are getting confused. The onboard digital processing can be bypassed so “zero digital conversion in the audio signal path” is possible, but not with the EQ enabled. That has not changed; it is still a digital EQ.

Thanks, that seemed like the most likely explanation.

Steve inbound… to Guitar Summit.

Sweetwater are implicitly saying their is no digital conversion involved, even when using the GEQ.

I asked them to confirm with Fryette, and he repeated it came directly from you, and that “Steve was in here last week talking about it”.

I believe they are wrong, but it does seem that the marketing copy they received from you is incorrect … “the graphic EQ is now recallable and controllable via digital management, without converting the actual audio signal into digital - ensuring the signal path remains pure”

So the question is were they given the wrong information? It’s kinda a big deal.

I would love to place a pre-order but I really need accurate information. Thanks.

You should ask Sweetwater if it comes with a footswitch.

I don’t care about that. A MIDI controller makes much more sense with an amp like this.

Yes, ULII has a built-in preset system so all digitial settings (and there are a lot of tonal options to control with the screen and the desktop app) can be set and recalled as presets. You can change presets with the builin screen, app or a MIDI controller.

Yes the team was at Sweetwater a few weeks ago an gave them a demo.

I really think it’s a case of cross wires. Let me be clear the graphics EQ is digital. When using the graphics EQ you need to analog to digital , apply DSP processing, the go back to from digital to analog. It’s unavoidable. If you want to get hung up on why the confusion, probably Dave will know more, I can’t help more.

Thanks for confirming that.

Hung up? The confusion is easy to understand - whoever wrote the copy for Sweetwater worded it misleadingly.

I look forward to hearing this thing soon hopefully.

No footswitch with this unit; it’s designed for MIDI really.

… I should add…

Live

Almost certainly MIDI

Recording/Home Studio

If you have easy access to a desktop, then the desktop application will give you full access to all digital features (Windows and macOS… maybe Linux if there are any freaks)

Other

For any other use case, you can use the fully featured build-in UI on the screen. It has the same functionality as the desktop app.

You can catch a short chat with Steve here; they are just getting set up, but you can see the ULII and app a bit more closely

Pretty disappointing we still got nothing as far as demos, clips, or anything related to the Pittbull at guitar summit.

From Fryette you mean? It’s just Steve and Eriko there, so probably not the best place for official demo videos. I’m sure all of that is coming in the pipeline for the release.

Bringing this ask back up. Are we looking at November for those that preordered back when it was first announced? @dan

We’re just doing everything possible to begin official release and shipping as soon as humanly possible.

That currently means getting parts in stock, sub-assemblies and metalwork. Making all of this happen fast is as important for us as for our dealers and their customers.

Certain specialized parts are exceedingly challenging now because of all the tariff shenanigans and supply chain issues, Certain high demand low availability components were sourced already to avoid some of that and some custom items are already here.

We’ve done several in-person demo sessions at various dealers and at Guitar Summit, all with overwhelmingly positive reactions.

We had an engineering team meeting last week on layout of the Owners Manual project. Now that the entire feature set is fleshed out, understood and can be explained in plain english (and two or three other languages).

The UL production sample has now endured no less than six plane flights and around 14 train trips as rolling carry-on and checked baggage on conveyors and even going down a flight of stairs with no failures or incidences.

Yes, getting production to dealers is a huge priority, All of these other challenges are critical to the amplifier delivering the goods once in the hands of anxiously waiting players.

So… maybe by the end of the year
