My lucky day has come and I am a proud over of my first VHT amplifier. It’s a Pitbull 45 2x10 combo. I am looking to tidy it up and had a few questions. First here is the info:

Serial: A970002
Is this a 97 model? I am assuming so as it has an el84 driver. It also has an odd switch which I have attached pics of. What does it do? Happy to send pic of wiring if needed. There was also a service tag on the inside, so I am hoping that switch was a mod installed by the man himself back in the day. The pcb around the el84 sockets looks a little toasty and I know they run hot in A mode. Would it be recommended to have them cleaned along with the solder joints? Finally, when testing out everything checked out and it sounded great, but there is a pop when switching channels (from front panel, no footswitch,) I am hoping retubing will cure this but if there is any other recommendation I’d gladly listen!
