My PS-2A was purchased new about two months ago. I used it mainly as an attenuator to play at low sound levels. It was working fine with no issues, until today. In the “operate” mode, there was no sound when I turned up the volume, although all tubes lit up. I checked the fuses and the tubes (I have a tube tester) and they were fine. I also examined the parts visually and everything looked normal
and there was no burnt smell.
Then I switched the mode to “By Pass”, it worked as it should. This means the cables were all connected correctly.
Could you please tell me what could the problem be and what can be done about it?
Check out the NO SOUND and WON’T SWITCH TO OPERATE / NO ATTENUATION sections in the Power Station troubleshooting guide. It might sound repetitive and cover things you have already done, but do each step carefully.
