Hi, I just got a Fryette power station yesterday, but I found two problems ：1. When I use fx loop, I can hear effect pedal sound in the cab, but I can not hear the effect pedal sound in the audio recording interface (both Line out only guitar sound, no effect), 2. I can not install any IR loader in my GarageBand (I try Lancaster PULSE and LA Convolver)….
How to solve the problems？ thank you
The Line Out comes before the effects loop on the Power Stations. That is just how they are internally arranged. There are workarounds, but most people prefer to just record their dry signal and use effects in the DAW when producing/recording, and that is a lot easier.
I can’t really help you on the Garageband thing - it is almost certainly user error in how you’re loading the plugin. Make sure it is on the correct channel. Go to “tracks” then expand “plug-ins” at the bottom. Make sure the IR loader is loaded on the correct track. Beyond that it is down to the particular loader.

What issues do you have with LA Convolver? I’ve used it for 15 years without issues. Granted, I haven’t used garageband since 2010…

IN THE END I use below diagram for recording signal with effect pedal sound (the WET sound), and the CAB only for check the DRY sound tone & dynamic…ANY COMMENT FOR THIS CONNECTIVE WAY? Just let me know…

There are a number of workarounds for this problem, and it certainly seems to be a design choice that Fryette has doubled down on (lots of amps have the line out after the loop, some let you select pre/post effects, and many are pre-FX only… it’s not a crazy choice, just one that I don’t like). This same design choice shows up on their Deliverance amps, Sound City amps, etc.
I’m using the Power Station in a live setting where my amplifier is my primary monitor, but it also goes to the FOH, so I want my pedalboard to go to the FOH and my amp. It just means that we mic the amp (or use an H&K Redbox DI). I just remember from my Mesa days that there was a post loop line out…
