I have a new ps2 and it went to low volume a few days ago I can max out the ps2 and it is a little louder. I can switch between the Hi and Low setting on the front of the unit and that does change the volume. however it is still a low volume compared to before. My set up is usualy a 100w guitar amp at 8 ohms into the ps2 then into a 8ohm guitar cabinet.
The things I have tried are as follows
New Speaker cables from the guitar amp to the ps2 and one from the ps2 to the guitar cabinet, Different speaker Cabinet, Different guitar amps,
A jumper cable in the effects loop toggling hi and low settings. A separate preamp pedal into the line in. then the pedal to the effects return on the ps2. Different power outlets, new 12ax7 tube and matched 6l6 power tubes. the fuse on the internal board tested fine So far there has been no change in volume. Any other suggestions? Thanks!
