Multiple stereo cabs

I have a fryette lxii. I had been running it stereo at 8ohms per side into a marshall 412 that is set to stereo 8 ohms /140 watts per side. I just recently purchased a second 212 marshall cabinet that can be ran in stereo at 16 ohms /70 watts per side. Would it be possible/ safe to run both cabs in stereo at the same time with the LXII set at 8 ohms stereo per side since the lxii has 2 parallel outputs on each channel? Thanks

Yes, that’s doable and safe.

The actual impedance would be 5.3 ohms per side in that case, assuming one 8 ohm and one 16 ohm speaker in parallel per side.

In that case, set the LXII output impedance to 4 ohms per side.

Hope that helps!

Dave

Awesome. Thanks david.
