Memory space and loading of new IR files in Bank 3 and 4

Hello,
I can no longer load new IR files into banks 3 and 4 of my Power Load IR. I’m using 48kHz files on a Mac. During the copy process, I get an “insufficient memory” message.
I can’t even restore the original files for the same reason.
Has anyone else encountered this problem?
I noticed that the Power Load IR’s hard drive is formatted as FAT12… that seems like a very old format, which is surprising!
Do you have any solutions?

Hi LeDoc and welcome to the forum!

Can you check one thing? With the unit connected, empty the macOS bin. I suspect that the files are still on the device!

Send a screenshot of Finder in macOS showing the PLIR

Something like this shows at the bottom of the window the number of files and free space. Before and after emptying, that should change.

Hi Dan,
thanks for your answer. I tried to empty the trash of the Mac, and that solved the problem. I have restored the PLIR memory as it was from factory.
About the best IR format file, it’s 48kHz, but is there any difference for the length (200 ms ? 500 ms ?)
Cheers from France for your support
David

Hi David!

Glad that solved the problem.

The GPDI/IR is limited to shorter sample lengths and truncates the files automatically so they work. Basically, 200ms and 500ms should sound virtually the same.
