Is it safe to mount two Power Stations on top of each other?

Hi! I’m planning out a rack that would involve the use of two Power Stations PS-2. Is it safe to mount the two on top of each other using the rack mount kit or would that create ventilation problems?

From my understanding the rack mount kit allows to leave the rubber feet mounted so that would create some sort of gap between the two units, but I’m not sure if that’s actually the case.

Thanks!

That depends entirely on the usage. If you’re just knocking down the level of the amp a moderate amount, no problem leaving minimal space. If you’re slamming them both continuously for an extended period of time, leave one rack space between them.

If you leave the feet on, you will have to leave at least one space between because that would be the next spacing available due to the the height of the feet.

If you take the feet off, you would be able to stack them with no additional space. Even so, there will be some space between the two units because the housing is less than two rack spaces tall. In that case, refer to the first paragraph above.

CAUTION, IF YOU REMOVE THE FEET, DO NOT INSTALL THE FEET MOUNTING SCREWS BACK IN WITHOUT THE FEET. SERIOUS DAMAGE WILL RESULT.
