Input / Output Cable Mistake

I mistakenly connected amp out to speaker out and speakers to amp in on fryette power station PS-2A. Nothing seemed unusual but I didn’t notice much attenuation. I may have run it like this for 5 minutes until I realized the mistake. Now everything is connected properly and unit seems to function well (no issues that I can notice). How do I know if I damaged anything? thanks.

I don’t even know how this is possible. It seems you connected the Amp In to the speakers so there is no signal going to the Power Station.

Fender Bassman amp out > to > Fryette speaker out
and
Fender Bassman speakers > to > Fryette amp in

Exactly, I don’t know how you got sound out of this because your speakers were connected to an input.

I think you might have actually connected them correctly, initially.

In any case, I would expect this to damage the tubes in the PS-2A because, apparently, you connected your Bassman to the output of PS-2A power amp, i.e. its tubes as seen through the output transformer. If things are still working, just thank your lucky stars and move on.

If you develop any problems then do some back!
