If I power my amp with an AmpRX Brown Box, should I also power the PS100 from it?

My tech recommended the Brown Box because My Matchless has smoked some tubes recently. Wondering if I should or should not power both the amp and PS100 from the Brown Box?

Hi John,

The goal of the PS-100 (and PS-2A) is to let the character of your amp shine through at different volume levels. It does because your amp sees a reactive load which, to it, looks indistinguishable from a speaker, and your speaker sees a tube amp driving it (the PS-100). So I think the best place for the Brown Box is on the Matchless only. Your amp will sound more brown, and with stock voltage on the PS-100 this should shine through better.
