How does the half power switch work on the 2/90/2? does it lower the voltage or something else?
Welcome to the forum!
The Low Power mode on the 2902 reduces the plate voltage 30%, so effectively around 60WPC.
Some users think this switch doesn’t do anything. What is really happening is that until you get up to 60W it will seem to be the same as full power mode. This is the difference between actual power reduction and artificially squishing headroom some other less effective but more dramatic way.

ok thanks!
what is the normal plate voltage when on high power?
does low power also change the bias voltage?
are there 2 bias adjustments for high and low power?
thanks again

George,
HP = 700V
LP = 500V
Bias compensates automatically when switching between LP and HP.
One bias adjustment for each channel.
