Hi all - Is there a suggested way to use the GPDI/IR with head phones, for example when traveling? Would the suggestion be to use an external headphone amp? If so, which output to use?
TIA

TIA, Yes, an external headphone amp is ideal. Then use either the IR Out or the Analog Out.

A Behringer Powerplay 2 could be an option for you. It does take batteries which gives you better level or they do make a Pm1 which which is passive.
The Mackie HM-4 works well, You will need a mono to stereo 1/4" cable to go from the IR Out to the input of the headphone amp.

Could one use a TS male to TRS female cable such as the one linked below:
And plug straight into the speaker out of the GPDI/IR? I’m my case I’m using AT m50x, which are 38 ohm impedance. Would a higher impedance headphone also work, such as 300 ohm sennheiser HD650? Thanks, I don’t want to damage the GPDI/IR or headphones.
