GPDI/IR + PS-100 and FX Switching

Hello! I am very interested in the GPDI/IR unit and how I might use it in a live situation. I own a PS-100, so I would like to use the GPDI/IR as a pre-amp into my PS-100 and use my Line 6 HX Effects unit in the effects loop of the GPDI/IR.

Would this be a simple connection from the GPDI/IR Unbalanced Line Out into the PS-100 Line In for the Power Amp section? Also, it seems the Line 6 FX unit would connect through the GPDI/IR effects loop rather than the effects loop of the PS-100 for best results?

My goal is to use the HX Effects relay switches to control the Less / More on the GPDI/IR and to control a volume boost for solos on the PS-100 (as I have two relays). Are the connections for the switches on the GPDI/IR and the PS-100 TS or TRS?

I think this would be a really great and effective automated solution for live volumes in addition to feeding the FOH with IR’s in one small kit. Please let me know if this sounds correct and if you have any advice.

I would use the effects loop on the PS-100 because it can be switched out. The power amp on the GPDI-IR can go into clipping. Deciding if you would want effects before or after that is subjective. You might even use different effects in both loops.

On the GPDI-IR I use the analog out unbalanced line. Make sure on the front panel the IN/OUT switch is set to OUT.
PS-100 - line in.

Only thing I have in the loop is a BOSS DM-101 and Ibanez PTEQ. So my configuration is different.
