Gpdi/ir for gig

Hi, is this unit loud enough to be played direct to PA ? Without power amp nor cab.

Hello and welcome to the forum! Simple answer; yes! But let’s clarify a few points; a PA or sound system is designed to amplify just about any type of audio signal so the question “is it loud enough to be played directly to a PA?” is not an issue. For example you can connect a low output electric guitar directly into a typical PA mixer and that signal can be boosted with the mixer’s input gain control thus creating plenty of signal for the sound system to amplify it properly. The GPDI/IR has an amazing guitar preamp as well as an IR loader which together produce excellent guitar tones from clean to dirty as well as high gain and everything in between. And connecting directly to a sound system or a studio interface is one of its main design functions. Please let me know if I can assist you in any way. Cheers! Gil

Thank you very much !
One Last question : as it is a single Chanel, can I use it as a main amp plugged to PA via the XLR out with crunch for example, and add a second amp connected to the Gpdi IR as a second chanel (clean) and select the one I need thanks to the ext amp switch ? I understand that a Footswitch allows me to activate this switch.
