Gpdi/ir and ps2a

Hi,
Is there a way to connect the gpdi/ir to a ps2a to simultaneously record using both? Using the DI and IR features of the gpdi/ir, then plug the gpdi/ir into ps2a to use that for my tube amps? I also own a Cyclops if that could be factored into the equation. If possible please explain this in simple terms, as I’m an old dude
TIA

Hey solemnoath. Welcome to the forum!

Super simple reply coming up!

Live rig side: GPDI/IR Speaker out to PS-2A Amp In. PS2A Speaker Out to speaker cab.*
Recording side, Analog: Analog Out to DAW interface. Activate Analog Cab section.
Recording side, IR: IR Out to DAW interface. Control IR Level from front panel.
Analog and IR outs can be operated simultaneously if you have enough inputs on your interface.

*Alternatively. If you don’t use the Analog Out for recording, turn the Analog cab off from the switch on the upper left of the front panel. Then send the Unbalanced Analog Out to the Line In of the PS-2A.

Cheers,

Dave

Hi David,
Thank you for the informative reply. It helped my old brain understand a couple of things :slightly_smiling_face:.
I don’t want to use the analog out for recording and I do want to use the PS-2A as you suggested. What I don’t understand (and don’t know if it’s possible)..can I use a tube amp plugged in to the PS-2A? Basically I would like to use the GPDI/IR for the DI and IR function (plugged into my Apollo X4) and the PS-2A to do it’s magic with my tube amp so that I can record it at a lower volume. If this is possible, where would I plug my guitar in? Into the GPDI/IR or the amp? I hope this makes sense.
I appreciate this, I am not very good with routing.
Thanks again,
Dave

I have not tried it…but I think you can add the Power Station to this and use the PS effects loop instead of the amp effects loop.
